Ferry View House has been extended and altered to provide modern facilities and house the D-class boathouse. While not Listed or in a Conservation Area, the team went to great lengths to preserve the look and feel of the building by retaining features such as the original decorative timber barge boards, stonework, roof slates and forged boathouse door hinges. The crew are now settling into the building, which was officially opened on the 16th April by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal in a special ceremony.
