Dover Lifeboat Station is a new build facility positioned at the end of the Marina Curve, developed as part of the wider Western Docks Revival by the Port of Dover. The station supports lifeboats moored directly within the marina, with crew facilities including changing areas, workshop, office and a communal crew room. The building responds closely to its context, following the gentle curve of the waterfront while accommodating complex below ground services through a recessed ground floor and cantilevered upper level. Its materiality and form reinforce a strong sense of place, complemented by integrated sustainability features including photovoltaic panels and a ground source heat pump.
