The Llandudno Lifeboat Station, located on the North Shore in North Wales, is a new build facility delivered for the RNLI and its volunteer crew following a complex planning process on this highly sensitive coastal site. Clad in local limestone, Siberian larch and copper, the building forms a bold yet contextually grounded presence between the Great and Little Orme headlands. Based on the RNLI’s catalogue station design, the scheme combines robust functionality with a strong architectural identity and has been recognised through a shortlist for the RICS Awards Wales in Community Benefit, Infrastructure, and Tourism and Leisure categories.
